Carlos Kirkendolph Obituary

"If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we

belong to the Lord."  Romans 14:8

Mr. Carlos Kirkendolph, affectionately known as “Fuzzy,” 52, unexpectedly departed this earth on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Beacon-Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. He was born on March 27, 1971, in South Bend to Ms. Gwendolyn Poindexter and John Kirkendolph; both preceded him in death.

Carlos was baptized at an early age at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Henry L. Giden Sr. He graduated from   Washington High School and went on to attend Ivy Tech Community College. Carlos was a hard worker, whose passion was welding; he was formerly employed as a Mig Welder at Lacy’s, a Welder at Koontz Wagner Custom Controls and as a Welder Fabricator at MORryde.

Carlos deeply cherished his grandmother and would do anything she asked of him.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his three children Alyssa Kirkendolph, Jovan Kirkendolph and Michael Kirkendolph; his grandmother Lena Poindexter; brother Eric Fikes, sister Yolanda Kirkendolph; a special cousin/brother Terry Poindexter; two special aunts Juella Butts and Mary Smith; his fiancé Sue Shafer; his best friend and Day 1, Jimmy Toth; along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and close friends.

May he rest in peace … The Light Remains.

“While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of the light.”

John 12:36
