David Malone Obituary

David Lewis Malone was born on May 15, 1965, in Tipton County, Tennessee to the late Nesbit and the late Mattie Malone. David departed this life on Friday April 5, 2024, at Specialty Hospital in Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia; he was 58 years old.

David attended Elkhart Memorial High School and graduated in 1983. After high school he attended Manchester College for three years, and then served in the National Guards. He was employed as a Locomotive Driver for 23 years by Norfolk Southern.

On September 6, 2003, David married the love of his life, Charlotte Renee Flowers. In 2007, they moved to Atlanta, due to a job transfer.

David was a kind man who never met a stranger. He was a jokester and loved making people laugh. He loved his family.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; Charlotte; three daughters; Kalia (Chris) Mendoza, Kalan Malone (Cody Anderson) of North Dakota and Monet Malone of Illinois; one son, Brandon (Stephanie) Flowers of all of Atlanta; eight grandchildren, Kyia Mendoza, Kindall Flowers, Kaili Mendoza, Aubrey Flowers, Aleyia Flowers, Kynlee Mendoza, Adan Mendoza, Jr. and Iyden Anderson.

He also leaves behind 13 siblings; five sisters; Ruby (Walter) Johnson, Annie (Sherman) Wiley, Annette (Dossie) Gates, Jenete (Kenneth) Fountain all of Elkhart; Theresa (Bradford) Wolverton of Lawerence, Michigan; eight  brothers; Pastor Wayne (Mary) Malone, Calvin Malone, Billy (Valerie) Malone, all of Elkhart; Robert (Donna) Malone of Mishawaka, Indiana, Thomas (Geraldine) Malone, of Chicago, Illinois, Alex (Portia) Malone of Urbana, Illinois, Edward (Dadine) Malone, of McComb, Mississippi and Alonzo (Youlanda) Malone, of Los Angeles, California. He also leaves behind, his mother-in-law Geneva Flowers, and a brother-in-law, Brian Flowers.

Along with his parents, David was also preceded in death by two brothers Nesbit Jr. and Oscar Malone; one nephew                  Ta-Derius Malone and two sisters-in-law; Gloria Malone and Latina Malone.

David’s love, laughter and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him.
