Anthony Clayborn Shepherd

Anthony “Big A” Clayborn Shepherd, age 53 passed away Jan. 16th, 2018 surrounded by loving family at Elkhart General Hospital.

Anthony was born Sept. 13, 1964 in Brookhaven, MS. to Philander and Rosie Shepherd.

On June 20th, 2015 he married Marie Maust she survives; along with his mother, Rosie Shepherd. Also surviving him are sons; Damien (Leah) Taylor, Christopher (Amaryllis) Taylor, step son Giovanni Aguayo, daughter: Brianna Taylor and step-daughters Yasmeen Aguayo and Joslynn Pugh.

Two grandchildren: Emery and Hadley Taylor also survive him along with sisters: Star (Marion) Scott, Barbara Shepherd, and Petra Smith of Brookhaven, MS and brothers: Philander, Terry, Larry, and Patrick Shepherd, Jerry and Jimmie Wilson of Brookhaven, MS. and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Philander Shepherd, Sr.

Anthony was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid Notre Dame and Dallas Cowboy fan. He also enjoyed eating at family functions, spending time with his childhood friend, more like a brother, Eddie Coleman.
