Brittany Ann Clay, 35, of South Bend, IN, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in Tampa, FL on September 4, 2018. She was born April 16, 1983 to the late Richard Harold Clay and Linda Kay Clay-Jones.
After dealing with the loss of both parents, Brittany decided to make a new home in Atlanta, Georgia. She had a successful hair salon business in Atlanta before she lastly moved to Tampa, Florida. She was living life and enjoying a new career as an insurance adjuster.
Prior to relocating to Atlanta, Brittany graduated with a core 40 Diploma from Riley High School. She then went on to attend Indiana State for a semester before deciding to pursue her passion of hair styling. Brittany obtained her cosmetology license from Vogue Beauty College. She styled hair for about 20 years. She was a master at her craft. Everyone who had the opportunity to be blessed with her presence knows that God has truly received an angel.
Brittany was preceded in death by her father, Richard Harold Clay; mother Linda Kay Clay-Jones; maternal and paternal grandparents. She leaves to cherish her memory, her only son Clarence "Cj" Ross; child's father Clarence Ross, three sisters, Crystal Clay, Sonjia Clay-Osborne and Rica Clay; two brothers; Casey Harper and Richard Clay; stepbrothers
Robert Reid, and Darrell Reid; two special nieces; A'mani Clay-Reed and Jazmyn Lottie; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and many special friends. Brittany was an amazing mother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be missed dearly.
The funeral service is 12:00 noon Thursday with visitation one hour before the service at New Horizons Outreach Ministry, 56165 Mayflower Rd. South Bend.
Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.
