Fay Janette Rowland

Fay Janette Rowland of Elkhart passed away Saturday, October 28 at Valley View Nursing Home. She was 76 years old.

Fay was born in Henderson, Kentucky on December 9, 1940 to Helen Warfield and John Rowland. She had been an Elkhart resident for more than fifty years.

“Granny” loved to walk her dog, speak her mind, barbecue, bake, go fishing, she was more of loner, her favorite sayings were "It’s the Truth" and "it ain’t what you do it’s how you do it". She would make you laugh even when you wanted to cry.

 She is survived by a son, Mario Shane Rowland of Hondo, TX and daughter, LaGeena “Vicki” Rowland of Fort Wayne, IN. Sisters Mary Helen Rowland, Erma Warfield, Regina Warfield and Patricia Warfield also survive her along with grandchildren, Teha Rowland, Silas Pegues, Tina Rowland, Shalonda Pegues, Isha Johnson and Mario Rowland, Jr. and seventeen Great-grandchildren.
