Georgianna (Showers) Jamison

Georgianna Jamison, affectionately known as “G”, 85 passed away peacefully at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Healthwin Specialized Care. Georgianna was born on January 26, 1932 in Macon, Mississippi to Kitty Griesson and John Showers.

 Georgianna was married to T.C. Jamison Sr. From that union, seven children were born: surviving are daughters, Sandra (Vernon) Lighthall, Linda (James) Chatman, Michelle Jamison, Sharon Jamison, and a son T.C. Jamison, all of South Bend. Georgianna had twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, and she also leaves behind several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Hattie (Richard) Chambliss of South Bend, and Aretha (Daryl) of St. Louis, Mo.
  Georgianna Jamison retired from Monarch Textile Rental Services Inc. in South Bend. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She loved cooking, being around family and friends, and most of all BINGO. She lived life to the fullest. Georgianna was preceded in death by her husband T.C. Jamison, Sr.; sons, Walter Jamison, and John D. Jamison; sister, Maudine Ross; and two brothers John Showers, and Edward Showers.
  The family would like to thank all of the families and friends who called, prayed, and sent their condolences. A special thanks to Healthwin and Staff for their great care and compassion.
