Jake Carsion Obituary

Jake Carson, Jr. was born August 26, 1957 in Tallahassee, Mississippi, the fourth and youngest child of Jake and Ada (Peterson) Carson.

His parents relocated to Chicago, IL while Jake was an infant. He had spent his entire adult life here and was a graduate of Tilden High School.

His love was of art and portrait painting. He also enjoyed fixing and repairing everything.

On Friday evening, July 20, 2018, Jake was called home to join his family for their heavenly reunion. Waiting for him are his parents, Jake and Ada Carson, brothers, Sammie and James Carson and sister, Rosie (Carson) Givens.

Those who survive him to cherish his memory are his son, Jake Xavier Carson, daughters, Latrice and Tamiko Ward and a granddaughter, London Ward.

Having lost his parents while he was still a young child, Jake was fortunate in that he became an integral part of a blended family and was raised with cousins as siblings. So, he is also survived by Jennie Stevenson (the mother), her children, his cousins, Olivia, Leroy, Denise Stevenson and Ferlinda (Stevenson) Taylor and his brother-n- law Lester Givens, long time best friend Marvin Boler and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Jake had a great love for his family and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
