Jerry Lee Clay, 73 passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana where he graduated from Riley High School.
Mr. Clay was known for his giving heart and willingness to help anybody. He had a love for fishing and painting. In the 80's and early 90's he owned and operated "Clay's Painting & Decorating". Upon his retirement he enjoyed just sitting on his porch, waving at the cars and looking out his window.
Jerry had surrendered his life to Christ and was baptized at New Testament Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard Thomas Clay. and mother Geneva Braylock. Brothers; Thomas Clay and Richard Harold Clay a sister Gwendolyn Clay, Uncles: LT Clay, AY Clay and Clone and Aleck Clay and Aunts; Marie Burks and Geneva Clay also preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son Todd and his two granddaughters and brothers; Donald and Dale Clay and sisters; Sheila Clay of (Carbondale, Illinois) and Vanessa Clay of South Bend, Indiana.
Jerry will be loved and missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a close friend Dan McKinney.
