Linda Marie (Jamison) Chatman

Linda Marie Chatman, 63, of South Bend, peacefully passed away at 12:06 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 1, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana to Georgeanna and T.C. Jamison, both preceded her in death.

Linda graduated from South Bend Central High School. She then attended Ivy Tech Community College and earned her Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) certification. Linda was a CNA for over 40 years.  She retired from Healthwin Specialized Care after 10 years of service, due to the decline in her health.

Linda was passionate about helping and caring for others. She was loved by her Healthwin family and was admired for her dedication to her patients and co-workers. After her diagnosis, she pushed through the pain and remained determined, hopeful, and strong.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friends to all. She loved cooking, being around family and friends, and most of all playing bingo and cards. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and missed by all who knew her. To know her, is to love her.

Linda married the love of her life, James Chatman, in 1978. Together, they had three daughters; Angie Jamison-Moody (Cardies) of South Bend, Indiana; Jeanette and Antionette Chatman of Indianapolis, Indiana; one granddaughter Jacquise Mickens-Barnett (Demetrious); four great grandchildren, Zaniyah Ware, Damarion Barnett, Derrion Barnett, and Demetrion Barnett, all of South Bend, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
