RoShonda Latres (Small) Blake

Ms. Roshonda Latres Small-Blake, 33, of South Bend, affectionately known as Shonda Smallworld  Miller was born on October 2, 1985 to Penny Iavagnilio and Jeffrey Small. On Tuesday, August 6, 2019 our loving mother went home to be with the Lord; her loving family was by her side.

Roshonda was a very strong minded, self driven energetic and hardworking mother of eight. At a young age she always knew she wanted to be a mother to love, nurture and care for another. She considered her children to be her  true loves and her purpose for living. Roshonda always enjoyed helping others no matter what her own circumstances were. She had dreamed of finishing school and becoming an OBGYN. Roshonda loved being at home and spending time with her family. She enjoyed listening to R&B music and watching horror movies.

Those left to cherish her loving memories include her mother Penny Iavagnilio; her father and stepmother Jeffrey and Jackie Small; four daughters, Driana Small-Blake, LaKalia Small, Namijha Blake and Ranya Miller; three sons, Lykeem Blake, Damarion Miller, and Dante Miller Jr; her fiancé, Dante Miller, Sr.; her estranged husband, Adrian Blake (and Octivia Stokes); seven brothers, Daniel Payne, Gerald Harvell Jr., Jeffrey Sheppard, J’Neko Small, Javon Small, Jermail Harris and Anthony Harris; seven sisters, Thellisa (and Eric) Williams, Jessica Collins, Onjalique Small, Paris Small, Journey Small, Dominique Small and Katrina Harris; seven nieces, three nephews, maternal great-grandmother, Thelma Patton; grandmother in law, Louise Blake; three special cousins who she regarded as sisters, Latrese “Nanni” Gray Tantania Bostic, and Ta’Tiauna Jackson; three special aunts, Gladys Muhammad, Dameka “T-Ma” Dickerson and Leona Dickerson;’ mother in-law, Diane Freeland, father in-law, Fred Blake, sisters in law, Angela Blake and Maria Blake and brother in law, Wayne Blake, along with the entire Small, Patton and Blake families.

Roshonda was greeted on the other side by her maternal granny Thellisa Patton, her son, Ajurin Blake, two uncles Frederick Patton and Michael Jackson, a brother Ivan Howell, paternal grandmother Patricia Bradley-Williams, paternal grandfather, Henry Small, and paternal great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Mary Bradley and grandfather in law, Hartie Blake, Sr.

Sleep on sweet Shonda and take your rest, you know we all love you, but God loves you best.
