Sharon Lynette Walker

Sharon Walker was born on June 14th, 1956 to Frank and Coretha Jarrett Jr. of Warren Ohio. She graduated Howland High School in 1974 and completed her bachelors at Youngstown State University in 1978. Sharon received her Master of Science degree in secondary education from Indiana University-South Bend in 1989. In August of 1978 Sharon began her 32-year teaching career in Ashtabula, Ohio. She later continued her journey as a math teacher and curriculum leader at South Bend Community School Corporation. Sharon was a proud and active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated since 1975. She also loved to sing and was a member of her church choir at Pilgrim Baptist Church. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Frank Jarrett Jr., and her brother Jeffery Jerome Jarrett. She leaves behind a loving husband of 33 years, Fred Walker and their wonderful son Cameron Jarrett. She also leaves behind her mother, Coretha Walker, and younger brother Frank (Celeste) Jarrett III, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
