Steptoria Alexander

Steptoria Alexander was born November 29, 1955 in Holly Springs, Mississippi. She was the third of eight children born to RC and Gloria Alexander.

As a child Steptoria relocated to South Bend, IN where she attended South Bend Community Schools. She was a faithful employee with the Double Tree, formerly known as the Marriot Hotel, as a housekeeper for fifteen years until her untimely death.

On March 15, 2018 at the age of 62, Steptoria was called home to be with Our Lord and Savior.

Steptoria leaves to mourn in her passing, but yet cherish the memory of her two sons, Charles Alexander and Gary Wright; five daughters, Trina Renee Alexander, Tamea Thompson, Jovanna Wright, Saysha Wright and Gabrielle (Mark) Warbington.

Also surviving her are a loving and devoted sister, Delores Alexander; brothers, Edgar Lee (Gloria) Alexander, Richard Lee Alexander and Anthony (Vicky) Alexander along with 31 grandchildren, (this includes two special grandsons, DeAndre Pigee and LeRoy Mitchell, Jr.), 21 great-grandchildren, her loving companion, Columbus Coleman, a niece, Theresa Alexander, god-sister, Tajuanna Norris and a host of nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were parents, RC and Gloria Alexander, a son Michael Alexander, a brother, John Henry Alexander, sisters, Pearline Alexander and Sally Alexander. A niece, LaKenya Robinson, maternal grandmother, Bell Harris and Minnie Burton, Uncles, Fred Burton, Lee Guster; Aunts, Betty Burton, Pearl Malone, Minnie Page, Catherine Malone, Cora Ball, Louis Freeman and Lillie Mae Hardin also preceded her in death.

Steptoria loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

She will be dearly missed by her coworkers, friends and loved ones.
