Amana Denise Scott

Amana Denise Scott, 45 was born to Clarence Shields and Daisy Scott on September 10, 1971 in Kansas City, Kansas. Amana lived in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri but lived most of her life in South Bend & Mishawaka.
Amana’s heart for Christ and Love was formed early by her family, and that love sustained her throughout her life. Amana transitioned from this life on Tuesday, October 18th, 2016.
Surviving Amana are three beloved daughters Skyler Blake, Aubree Black, and Sukura Wilson all from Mishawka and step-daughter Darian Blake from Austin, Texas. (Mother) Daisy Scott, (step-fathers) Harvey Scott Portsmouth, Va and Albert Allison, Mishawaka, In.(Brothers) Ryan Scott of Indianapolis, Harvey Scott of Atlanta, Georgia. (Sister) Brandy Shields. Aunts: Katherine Colby, Mishawaka, IN, Elizabeth (Willie) Lynch, Las Vegas, NV and Judy (Robert) Talbott, Clermont, Florida. Uncle: Eppie Shields Jr. Atlanta, G Amana had many special cousins that were like sisters and brothers as well as many close friends who were an extension of her family. Amana was preceded in death by her Grandma and Grampa Eppie & Heloise Shields of Kansas City, Mo and uncles: Douglas Adams Jr. & Charles Adams Sr. of South Bend, Indiana, and Anthony Adams, Michigan City, Indiana.
Amana graduated from Langston University in 1994 with Honors. She was a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta. Amana worked with a great team at Liberty Mutual Insurance for many years. Amana loved spending time with her close nit family, enjoying her time taking the kids to cheerleading, gymnastics, swimming and traveling with family. Amana was an active church member at Laymen Chapel volunteering, at church and community support activities. Her life was spent celebrating life, always had a smile through the good times and bad. Amana will be missed by hundreds of people throughout the city and beyond especially her baby girls, mom and baby brother.
