Arthur Perry Bird

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise: give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;    his    faithfulness continues through all generations.”              Psalms 100:4-5 NIV

Mr. Arthur “Perry” Bird of South Bend, Indiana, beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend, completed his earthly assignment on Tuesday, June 8, 2021; he was 60 years old.  He was born July 3, 1960 in South Bend to the union of Kenneth Martin and Elline Sue Bird; they both preceded him in death. 

 Arthur was a graduate of the former LaSalle High School after which he entered into a career in construction and landscaping. His favorite pastimes were gardening and fishing.

 Arthur was united in marriage to Georgia and they had two beautiful children: Joshua and Samantha; in a separate union Arthur had a son, Antione. 

Those left to cherish his loving memory are his children,  Joshua, Samantha and Antione Bird; his brothers, Maurice Bird of South Bend;  Jerome (and Pamela) Mincy of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Marcelle Bird of San Diego, California; and Reginald and Kenneth Bird both of South Bend; his sisters, Linda Love of Trenton, New Jersey, Rosemary (and John) Anderson and Carrie (and Mark) Burks all of South Bend; his significant other, Bertha Coleman; a loving aunt, Ida Wigfall; cousins in the Williams, Wigfall, Mincy and Bird families, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and great friends.

  Along with his parents, he was preceded in transition by a sister, Theresa and two brothers, Lavon and Anthony. We love you dear Arthur “Perry” and will miss you forever.
