Benjamin Johnny Harris, lll

Benjamin Johnny Harris III, 19, affectionately known to his family and friends as Bug, was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He left this physical world on Sunday morning, July 25, 2021.

     Benjamin was born January 18, 2002 to Shakira and Benjamin Harris Sr. He attended Washington High School and recently became a father to a baby girl, A’Keira Jhonay Anderson, whom he loved and leaves to cherish his memory.

     Bug was the life of the party and if you ever met him you knew he was a jokester. He dearly loved his family and was very loyal to those he loved and those who loved him. He was a real mama’s boy. The Friday before his death his mom recalls Bug’s pleas for her to bring him lunch as it was the first day of work at his new job. Determined to turn his life around, securing employment was the first step.

     Along with his daughter, he also leaves to cherish his memory his mother Shakira Harris; father Benjamin Harris Sr.; grandmothers Carol Smith and Barbara Gill; grandfather Oliver Smith; sisters, ShaQuesha Hardy, ShaKyia Harris,  Syndia Harris and Portea Harris; brothers, Taibian Harris, Javontai Harris and Benjamin Harris Jr.; special niece and nephew, ShaNiyah and Semaj Hardy, along with a host of other family and friends who miss him dearly.

     He was preceded in death by his aunt Darnisha Harris, uncle Dorian Harris, Sr., cousin Keisha Halliburton and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
