"Betty Jean Burton was referred to by her sisters as "Miss America" growing up, due to her beauty and love of the mirror. She was born in Mississippi and raised on the southeast side of South Bend, IN . Even as a very young child she would take on a motherly role - beginning to cook for her sisters at just 6 years old when her mother grew sick. She married her first love - Lee Guster Burton, at 18 years old. A very hard worker her entire life she graduated from Beauty School and spent many years as a Beautician. She also worked in Las Vegas for some time where she met lots of celebrities and most recently ended her career in the healthcare profession as a caretaker.
