Catherine D. (Williams) Burt

Mrs. Catherine Burt completed her earthy assignment on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at St. Joseph Regional Med Center. She was 55 years old.

Catherine, known as “Teat”, was born in South Bend, Indiana on August 29, 1960, to the union of Catherine D. Williams and Woodrow Reid. She attended John Adams High School. Teat worked at Cardinal Nursing Home for several years. She married Tommie Burt on September 15, 2007. She loved her family and hosted a family and friends Halloween Party every year. Teat loved her “some Tommie” and she loved to tell stories and cook.

Left to cherish her memory are her faithful husband, Tommie and her sons, Shawn and Silas of South Bend Indiana, Duane, Tavon, Antoine and Tavarus of Gary, Indiana and  her daughters Shawna of South Bend, Indiana, Shaontae and Lashatoe of Gary, Indiana. 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive her along with brothers Fred of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Andre (Betty) of South Bend, Indiana and sisters Mary and Martha of Fort Wayne, Patricia (Daniel) Walker and Teresa Muhammad of South Bend, Indiana, a host of nieces and nephews and her three special friends Laverne, Angie, and Robin.

Family members who preceded her in death include her father Woodrow Reid, her mother Catherine D. Williams and a sister, Margie Johnson of Campbell, California.

The family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Chaplains for the care she received at St. Joseph Regional Med. Center.
