Chantelle C. (Baucom) Luckey

Chantelle went to sleep to wait on the Lord on Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at Memorial Hospital following a reoccurring illness.
  She was born to Claudia (Bogans) and James Robert Baucom, on July 21, 1932, in South Bend, Indiana. Both preceded her in death in 1968 and 1989, respectively.
  Chantelle graduated from Central High School, Class of ’51 and worked at Studebaker in Administration from ‘49-‘52. She retired after 20 years of service from AM General in 1991.
  In September 1951 she married her love William (Bill) Luckey, who preceded her in death (1991). From this union they had 3 children, Stefania Ann, who preceded her in death (2005), Dawn Luckey (Curtis) Davis, of Simi Valley, CA., (Grandsons Jonathan and Mykel), and Trent Luckey of South Bend (Grandson Justin, Great-Granddaughter Peyton Grace).
  She joined 1st AME Zion Church at an early age and was President of the Usher Board for several years. She was President of the Magnificent Ten Club and was active in the Book Club at Robinson Center and the Seniors’ Computer Club, which she enjoyed very much.
  Chantelle loved to travel, read, crochet and attend Sunday school at Greater St. John led by Brenda Blake. She also attended Friday’s bible study.
  Chantelle had many acquaintances, a cousin, JoAn Lee of Phoenix, AZ., and a host of very dear (many lifetime) friends that will miss her very much.
