Charles Edward Gantt (Chuck to friends) was born in Bradley, Arkansas on June 22, 1941, to the late Berlie Dockery and Benjamin Gantt. With his family, Charles became a resident of Niles, Michigan and was a graduate of Niles High School.
Charles was a Viet Nam Era Veteran who was inducted into active service on May 7, 1964. He successfully completed one tour of duty and was honorably discharged on May 6, 1966.
Following his discharge, he was employed by the National Standard Company of Niles, Michigan for 35 years. In retirement, Charles enjoyed his passion for cooking and casino gaming.
Charles Edward Gantt passed away at his residence on April 23, 2025. He is survived by his son, Keith Edward Gantt, sister, Julie M. Hunt and brothers, Orlester Johnson and Kenneth McInnis. Also surviving him are six grandchildren, numerous greatgrandchildren along with a host of extended family members and friends.
