On the evening of March 25th, 2016, Elect Lady Denise E. Diggins made her earthly transition from labor to eternal rest surrounded by her loving family.
Her life legacy has always included nurturing people around her with faith, love, happiness, song and dance. She enjoyed singing, praise dancing, and sewing and was very talented at them all.
Elect Lady Denise attended J. Kennedy Elementary School, Dickinson Middle School, and was a graduate of LaSalle High School (Class of ’85).
Elect Lady Denise served faithfully and diligently alongside her husband Pastor Charles Diggins, Jr. as the leaders of One Lord One Spirit Outreach in South Bend, IN. They also served concurrently under the leadership of Presiding Bishop O.T. & Lady Andre’a Coleman, Sr. of Dunamis International Church Fellowship. Prior to starting their own ministry, Elect Lady Denise and Pastor Charles Diggins served under the leadership of Apostle Dennis J. and Deborah Givens of New Horizons Outreach Ministries, Superintendent Samuel L. Diggins, Sr. and 1st Lady Ruth Diggins, of Believers COGIC and Bishop James & Lady Michelle Stewart of Lords House of Shepards. Elect Lady Denise was also a member of New Salem Baptist Church throughout her childhood and adult life.
Elect Lady Denise is survived by her devoted and faithful husband of 14 years, Pastor Charles Diggins, Jr., two sons, Termain D. Williams, Sr. and Emanuel C. Diggins. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Louise Williams-Pruitt of South Bend, IN, sisters Tanyell Williams of Indianapolis, IN, Benita (Jerry) Jackson of Elkhart, IN and Tarisha (Moreland) Pruitt- Boyd of Fort Worth TX. Sisters residing in South Bend, IN include: Mary (Geary) Locke, Kimberly Williams, Terri Williams, Shalonda (Terrance) Ford, Marcia Williams, Delores Williams, DarShelle Williams, and Denise Pruitt. Brothers, Fred (Samantha) Pruitt, Jr, Corey (Ruby) Williams, Lafayette Williams, Timothy (Liz) Pruitt of Greensboro, NC, Doug Newsome and Garfield Hubbard also survive her along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, family and friends that includes a special lifelong friend Carla Fair.
