Derron Lamonte Lee

Derron Lamonte Lee Sr., 46 of South Bend, Indiana departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born in South Bend on December 13, 1978, to the union of the late Ronald Lee and Diane Cooks-Lee.

Derron was the oldest of three children and grew up in South Bend. He was a 1996 graduate of Washington High School; following high school he attended Ivy Tech Community College.

  Derron was a fun and loving person with a calm spirit. He enjoyed spending time with his children, mother and other family members. He had a passion for sports and loved basketball and football. 

 Derron leaves to cherish his loving memory, five children, Derron Lamonte Lee Jr. and Trinity Lee both of South Bend; Tanaia Vandever and Tawnee Vandever both of Indianapolis, Indiana and Tommya Garner of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; his mother, Diane Lee; two brothers, Lamar Lee and Ryan Lee and his paternal grandfather, Clifton Lee all of South Bend; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

 Along with his father, Ronald Lee who passed away on May 4, 2017, Derron was also preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Cooks on February 14, 1989, and paternal grandmother, Ruby Mae Lee on January 25, 2015. 

 He will be deeply missed by family and close friends.
