South Bend -Dolores J. Qualls- Davis passed away quietly at her residence in South Bend, IN on December 20, 2020. She was 89 years old.
She was born to the late George and Mabel Maher-Qualls on May 12, 1931 in South Bend, IN.
Dolores was a graduate of both Cassopolis High School and Southwestern Michigan College earning an Associate Degree in Business.
She was a retiree of Simplicity Pattern Company having worked there as a Supervisor for approximately 25 years. Dolores had been a devoted member of Christ Temple Church in Cassopolis for more than 12 years.
Dolores was blessed with a zest for life and a love for travel in which she instilled in all of her family. She will be remembered for entertaining family members during holidays with stories of escapades from her past and her love of shopping.
On September 5, 1957, she was united in marriage to Archie P. Davis, who preceded her in death on January 11, 2007.
She leaves in her passing, one sister, Oneita Gardner of Milwaukee, WI., five children, Alton Davis of West Bloomfield, MI, Dolores McNeary (Leroy) of Edwardsburg, MI, Robert K. Davis (Theresa) of Concord, North Carolina, Diane J Irvin (Kevin) of South Bend, IN and Bryan A. Davis of Savanna, GA., two special cousins, Robert “Tally” Waters, (her favorite dance partner) and Germayne Waters, also ten Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren survive her, along with a host of nieces, nephews.
A grave site service has been planned for the immediate family at a later date.
