Herman L. Day

  Herman L. Day Jr, 73, of South Bend passed away on Monday July 20th at West Bend Nursing Rehabilitation Center.
  Herman was born to Herman L. & Georgia Day, Sr. on January 28, 1942 in Drew, MS
  The family Moved to South Bend,IN in 1951 where he attended South Bend Public Schools.
  He was employed by Batteast Construction Co. for more than 20 years & contracted 20 plus years as a Construction worker.
  He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Kenneth L. (Calvalyn) Day Indianapolis, IN & Stephen D. (Dietta) Anderson-Day Sr. Southfield, MI, one Sister Edna (Curry) Thorpe- South Bend, IN and one Brother Johnnie (Rosie) Day- St. Louis, MO.
  18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and three stepchildren Sarah (Michael Sr.) Ward, Linda Anderson, Robert (Monique) Anderson also survive him.
  Herman was preceded in death by parents Herman & Georgia, three brothers Hosie, Frank & James Day, three Sisters Hilda Harris, Lorraine Washington & Irene Davis  and Ms.Easter M. Anderson (companion) of thirty-plus years.
