Mr. Jimmy Lee Furlow, 61, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at 9:20 A.M. on Wednesday November 15, 2023, at the Hospice House in Mishawaka, Indiana. He was born in Elkhart on November 28, 1961, to the union of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy and Marcella Furlow; they preceded him in death.
Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age at Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Theodis Hadley. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Kingdom Impact Christian Cultural Church under the leadership of Apostle Edwin Newsome.
Jimmy was a graduate of Elkhart Memorial High School. He was formerly employed at State Wide Aluminum from which he retired after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a big smile on his face whenever he would see anyone. He was a nice person who was fun to be around.
Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory, a sister, Ms. Ruthie Furlow of Elkhart; an uncle, Charlie Thomas (Debra) of South Bend, Indiana; an aunt, Francis O’Hara of Elkhart; four nephews, Jason Furlow, Corey Adams, Jessie Furlow and Brian Bonner; a sister-in-law, Shirley Furlow; nieces, Alize Furlow, Breanna Furlow, Kiki Bonner, Tanesha Bonner, Kylie Adams, Hazel Furlow; special friends, Mr. & Mrs. Dave Shaffer, Kimberly Barkes, Gadeer Almanaseer, Elder Clara Hadley, Debbie Ursery, Sandra Conard and Stephanie Whitener along with a host of cousins other family, friends and his brothers and sisters in Christ at Kingdom Impact CCC.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarita Bonner; a nephew Rickey Furlow; and a brother, Leroy Furlow Jr.
