Joe Ann (Hill) Jones

Ms. Joe Ann Hill completed her earthly assignment on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was 69 years old.

Joe Ann was born on September 6, 1946 in Brownville Tennessee to the union of Bertha Mae and Joseph Hill. She had been a South Bend resident since early childhood and attended John Adams High School.

She was a retiree of St. Joseph Medical Center following more than forty years of service there.

Joe Ann was a faithful servant of the Lord and loved her family. She attended Grace Place Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Hyveth Williams.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Ashley (Natricia) Hill of Portland Oregon; 2 grandchildren, Nathan Hill of South Bend and Nyla Hill of Bloomington, Indiana. A special grand-nephew, LoRyan Dowdy and a special grand-niece, Amaria Williams of South Bend also survive her along with brothers, William and Larry Hill of South Bend, sisters, Mary (Troy) Tucker of Mishawaka, Towanda Hill and Robin (Wallace) Wilson of South Bend, Fannie (Alford) Warren of Alabama and Peggy (Robert) House of Indianapolis and a sister-in-law, Rue Nell Hill of South Bend.

Joe Ann also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends that include one special friend, Naomi Davis of South Bend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Anthony L. Hill and Darrius Jones, a sister, Bertha L. Hill and brother, Monte I. Hill.

Joe Ann was the Queen of Our Hearts. She will be greatly missed, but we will love her “always and forever”.
