Mr. John Chapman was born in Geneva, Alabama on January 25, 1933 to the parents of Willie Chapman and Gerlena Threatts. He was educated in the Alabama School system.
John resided at Wellbrooke of South Bend, where he was fondly known as “Hollywood” with wearing his smile and one of his many hats in his collection. While at Wellbrooke of South Bend, it was also said that he carried himself with dignity. John enjoyed going on walks, playing board games, and participating in many of the celebrations hosted by the facility.
John loved his family and was the uncle with the gentle voice and spirit.
John was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and seven sisters.
John made his transition on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Wellbrooke of South Bend, Indiana. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Louise Sconiers in Atlanta Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews.
CDC guidelines will be followed with masks required and required number of individuals with be able to attend as well as social distancing.
Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
