Katie F. (Edwards) Stringfellow-Marshall

Katie Stringfellow-Marshall was born January 11, 1921 in Meridian, Mississippi, one of six children born to Jesse and Maggie Edwards.

She departed this life on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Center for Hospice Care in South Bend, Indiana. Katie was 96 years old.

Katie accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was baptized at Savannah Grove Baptist Church in Meridian, Mississippi.

Her working life was spent in the retail industry where she worked for several department stores before retiring.

Katie leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Lenora Grant of Jackson, Mississippi and a brother, William Edwards of Calumet City, Illinois.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins including special nieces, Lula Edwards and Cheryl Samuels and special great-nephews Hank Overton and William Samuels also survive her along with great-great-nieces and nephew, Tashia, Jadore, Kira and Taryn whom she adored.
