Welcome to the memorial page for

Kyle Ronald James

September 15, 1967 ~ April 7, 2017 (age 49) 49 Years Old

We celebrate the life of our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend – Kyle Ronald James of South Bend, Indiana. Kyle was born in South Bend, IN on September 15, 1976 to Judith Ann & Ronald Vernel James, who preceded Kyle in death.

As the only son, Kyle was the apple of his mother’s eye and is survived by his Partner Tyshawn King and their family dog December; three sisters, Sharon Kelley Holland, Atlanta, GA; Beth Ann James Anderson, Los Angeles, CA and Julie Ann James Benton, Atlanta, GA; nieces & nephews, Leigh Holland, South Bend, IN; Thomas (Joaquina) Holland, Los Angeles, CA; Brittany Anderson, Los Angeles, CA; Judith Lo’ren Benton, Atlanta, GA; Brandon Anderson, Los Angeles, CA and Darrell Landon Benton, Atlanta, GA.  Enjoying a Great Nephew, Christopher Holland, and a host of Great Nieces Sydney Holland, Amaya Holland, London Benton and Shannon Giddens along with many cousins and close family friends.

Kyle loved entertaining and having a good time. He never met a stranger. Kyle had a gift for always being able to make you laugh and make new friends wherever he went. A dynamic personality, if Kyle was there, you were sure to have fun with great memories to share. Among his many creative talents, Kyle loved interior decorating and he established his own business, Interior Designs By Me (IDBM). Kyle developed a fondness for playing Tennis at a very young age and was an avid supporter of the world sport of Tennis.  His favorite players to watch were The Williams Sisters, but he adored Serena Williams the most. Kyle was a fierce competitor at playing cards especially, Bid Whist.  Anyone who played cards with Kyle had to bring their “A Game” or prepare to be scorned.  Kyle will be affectionately remembered by his hysterical verbal expressions and “Snappy Reads.”

In 2001, Kyle rededicated his life to Christ and was baptized at Greater White Rock Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.  Years later, Kyle became a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church in South Bend, IN where he continued his search for the Truth.

We come together, not to mourn our loss, but to celebrate Kyle’s life.  A life lived by a man who did things his way, in a very big way.

The family would like to express their gratitude to everyone for the phone calls, wonderful cards & flowers and thoughtful deeds during this difficult time
