Leslie Danielle Young

Leslie Danielle Young was born on July 15, 1988, in Pomona, California to Sharone and David Young. Leslie transitioned into everlasting life on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Beacon Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana following a series of illnesses.

Leslie attended Crawford County High School where she was Cheerleading Captain and a flyer; she graduated in 2006. She also attended Valdosta State University.

Leslie truly enjoyed life and having a good time; to know her was to love her.  She had a magnetic personality and managed to easily make friends. Leslie spent the majority of her time being mother to her loving children. She continuously strived to be a better human being by strengthening her relationship with God through prayer and worship. This led her to live a life in service to others. Leslie had aspirations to create a non-profit organization to help women in need, which exemplifies the goodness of her heart; always caring about others more than she did herself.

Leslie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Darla (Shem), Rodney III and Reanna (Rodney Jr.); her parents, Sharone and David; her siblings, Duran, Shanteria (Jewel), Duronda, Melinda, Tyrese, and Landon; her long-term boyfriend Martese, and a host of nieces and nephew, including Lamaya and Lanaya with whom she shared a special bond with. She also shared a special bond with her paternal grandmother, Virgie Young as well as with her college best friend, Melinda. She also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.

Preceding her in the afterlife are her maternal grandparents, Edie and Edward Blount, Jr.; and a niece, LaCarla.

 Leslie was a loving mother, daughter, sister, spouse, and friend. She was a burst of energy and always willing to help anyone she could. She leaves a legacy of being caring, helpful, and fun. Her love and life will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved and knew her.
