Ms. Lizzie B. Hudson, 88, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Sanctuary of Holy Cross. Lizzie was born February 12, 1932 in Ruleville, Mississippi, to parents Bobby and Ella Bigbee (Moses). She was married to Johnny B. Williams and of that union was 3 children. Later in life she married Robert M. Hudson who is deceased. During her life she was an awesome cook. Lizzie worked many years and retired from Memorial Hospital in 1995 as head cook. Lizzie was known for the great cook she was, especially her famous dishes from Turkey, Dressing, Candy Yams, etc. Lizzie’s hobbies were working in her yard and garden. She had a beautiful lawn with the most beautiful garden and house on the street and was known for her green thumb. She was an avid card player in which she enjoyed with her family and friends, especially “Bid Whist” and “Gin Rummy”. Lizzie and her sisters were also sharp dressers, always making sure they looked wonderful. Lizzie was a loving mother who loved all her children and grandchildren and would do anything for anyone. She was a very spiritual person and trusted in God. Lizzie leaves one sister, Josie Shorter of Madison, Wisconsin and 4 children to cherish her legacy. Children, Johnny B. Williams, Linda L. Williams, Imogene Johnson, and Robin K. Crump (Charles); 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Ella Bigbee, a son Cornelius M. Williams, sisters, Mable Bigbee, Johnnie V. Sanders, and Ella Mae Woodmoore; brother, Cornelius King and 1 Grandson, Jermal B. Williams.
