Lloyd Anthony Jones of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Regional Medical Cente Mishawakawith his family by his side.
Lloyd was born November 6, 1955 in South Bend to Ozetta Jones (Ewing) and Lloyd Wilbur Bolton, he was a lifelong arearesident. Lloyd was the oldest of seven children, he was educated in the South Bend Community School Corporation. Lloyd was employed as a laborer at Fargo Assembly for 27 years. He was later a 10 year employee of The South Bend Tribune. As a preteen Lloyd began playing guitar in church along with his musically inclined family his mom, his sisters and brothers
either singing or playing instruments as a group, which began his love for music. Lloyd never lost his love for music and played it loudly throughout the neighborhood. Some of his favorite things were watching T.V., playing card games, playing checkers, he loved to swim, he liked to barbque and spending time with his family. Lloyd Anthony professed his love for Christ at an early age, and kept the Lord the head of his life and in his heart forever. Lloyd Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Victor Orlando Seward, four sisters, Myra Newsome, Debra Denise (Dennis) Givens, Angela Bolton, Carmen Melissa Jones, one sister in law Denise Givens.
Special Aunts Irena Reed, and Mertice Jones, and a host of other relatives and friends. Lloyd was affectionately known by his middle name “Anthony” by his family and friends. Lloyd Anthony was preceded in death by his mother Ozetta Jones and his father Lloyd Wilbur Bolton. One brother Keith Edward Seward, one very special sister Edith Lorraine Jones who was so close to him they were often thought to be twins. They were born eleven months apart, born on the same day of the month and unfortunately passed away on the same day of the month, just three months from one another. Anthony was funny, loving, strict as he was a protector over his younger siblings. He was very much a good big brother, who will be sorely missed.
