Lywanna Jean (Thorpe) Smith

 Lywanna Jean Smith passed away on Friday, July 1 at age 54.
  She was born in South Bend, IN on September 20, 1961 to Curry and Edna Thorpe and was a lifelong South Bend resident. She was a 1979 graduate of Washington H.S. and worked as a nurses aide for various area nursing homes until her health began to fail her.
  She loved sports, dancing, fishing and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
  Lywanna was a member of New Christian Tabernacle Ministries.
  Lywanna is survived by her husband, Guy Smith who was her companion for 27 years; parents, Curry and Edna Thorpe and brothers, Scottie, Tyrone and Curry Thorpe, Jr. all of South Bend.
  One brother, James Lamonte Thorpe preceded her in death.
