Mary Elene (Steinborn) Lee

Mary Elene Lee was born June 10, 1950 to the late Lorren and Elena Steinborn in Coloma, Michigan.  She departed this life on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Memorial Hospital. Mary was 65 years old.

She was a graduate of Sturgis High School.  After high school she studied Business Law. 

In 1984, in Dowagiac, Michigan she married Hurie Joseph Lee. 

In 1982 Mary was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Two years later she had a massive stroke which rendered her unable to carry on her normal activities. In 2014, after surviving breast cancer, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. 

 Although, she had all these health issues, Mary still was full of laughter and joy.

Before her health failed her, Mary loved gardening, cooking and dancing to all genre of music.

Surviving to cherish her memory are daughters Robin Steinborn and Alexis (Chris) Holton both of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Thomas (Ko) Steinborn of Texas and Larry Steinborn of Florida; one granddaughter Shamari; four grandsons, Devian, Joshua, KriShawn and Charles.  A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive her.

Mary was preceded in death by her father Lorren, mother Elena and her husband Hurie Lee.
