Michael Buchanon Obituary

Michael DeWayne Buchanon (affectionately known as Rooster) passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in his home. He was 68 years old.

Michael was born September 23, 1953, in South Bend, IN, the son of Earsel (Hawkins) DeShazer and George Buchanon; both of whom preceded him in death.

He was most recently employed in the food service industry.

Those who survive to cherish his memory are a wife, Sainab Chitenie-Buchanon, son, Mike Buchanon, sisters, Cheryle L. Buchanon, Charlotte L. Hill, Chyrisse L. DeShazer and brothers, George A. Buchanon, Jason (DeShaun) DeShazer along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Michael will be lovingly missed, Rest in Heaven.

A private memorial service was held in his honor.
