Michael Troy Farlow

Mr. Michael Troy Farlow, affectionately known as Mike, passed away on Friday March 25, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer; he was 60 years old.  Mike was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on December 7, 1961 to James and Vivian Farlow.

Mike was educated in the South Bend community schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1979. Mike attended Indiana University at Bloomington where he studied social and behavioral sciences. He was a member of IU’s class of 1986. He was also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He served his country and was a veteran of the United States Army. He earned a living doing taxes in the community and worked various jobs throughout his life time.

Mike leaves to cherish his memory his mother Vivian Farlow; one sister, Kim Farlow; two brothers, Darrick Farlow and Kenric (Kesha) Farlow; three nephews Terrance Shorter, Darrick Warren, and D’Angelo Hairston; one niece,  Myonna Farlow; several great nieces and nephews along with a host of devoted and loving cousins and close friends.  Mike was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Terrance Farlow.

Mike was a man with a big heart and friendly smile. He will surely be missed. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
