Nicholas Jermaine Sams was born September 3, 1983 to John O. and Clara Beasley Sams in Rockford, Illinois. Nicholas attended the Rockford, Illinois school system and graduated from Auburn High School in 2001. Nicholas accepted God’s divine calling into the Gospel Ministry at the Ephesians M.B. Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Dr. Norris Flannigan where he received his Certificate of License to preach the Word of God. In April of 2013 Nicholas relocated to South Bend, Indiana where he united with the Rhema Word International Outreach Ministries under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Stephen Reed. There he served in the Music Department as drummer. He had a special love in his heart for children as was demonstrated in the emphasis of his ministry as Youth Minister of the church.
At the time of his demise Nicholas was employed at Edwardsburg Lumber Yard in Edwardsburg, MI. He was formerly employed by Taco Bell of South Bend where his work ethic was of such that he was a selected candidate for management.
Nicholas was predeceased by grandmother, Katie Beasley. He leaves to cherish loving and fond memories by a daughter, Imani Sams and step-daughter, Bonnie of Rockford; Loving mother, Clara Beasley Brown of South Bend, Indiana; Father, John Sams of Rockford; Stepfather; Lewis Brown; Brothers; Johnathan Sams, Lewis (Tatiana) Brown, Jr. and Evan Sams, all of Rockford. Sisters; Katrina Brown of South Bend and Tamika Brown of Rockford. He also leaves cherished memories by Godparents George and Elmira Hammonds and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
“Nick” was surely loved by all that knew him. To know him was to love him!
