Oscar Moody

Mr. Oscar Moody, Jr. passed away at 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 with his wife at his side at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. He was 89 years old.
Oscar was born July 7, 1926 in Register, GA to the late Oscar and Annie (Lee) Moody, Sr.

In 1951 in Springfield, GA, he married Lizzie Ann Dillard, who survives.

In 1952, Oscar and Lizzie relocated to South Bend, IN where he worked for White Farm Corporation and was also employed a construction worker through the Laborers Union Local 645 from which he retired.

Besides his parents, Oscar was preceded in death by five brothers.

He is survived by Lizzie, his of 64 years, two daughters, Annette Moody and Tracy (Luke) Harris of South Bend and four sons, Blue Moody of San Diego, CA, Terry Harris and Tony (June) Harris of South Bend and Michael (CC) Moody of Colorado.

Two brothers, Dewitt (Marie) Moody and Johnnie (Jackie) Moody, Sr. of South Bend and three sisters, Gloria Wallace and Jeanette (Robbie) McCollum of South Bend and Gladys Payne of Rincon, GA also survive him along with 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Sanctuary at St. Joseph Holy Cross Rehab, St. Joseph Medical Center ICU and Memorial Hospital 7th floor staff for all the love and care that they have expressed to and shown the family.
