The funeral service for Ouida Pearson was held Saturday, May 30 at 1st African Baptist Church Original with burial at Bulloch Memorial Gardens - Statesboro, GA.
Ouida Pearson passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015. She was 93 years old.
She was born April 9, 1922 in Nevils, GA, one of 19 children born to James and Mary Bing-Jones.
Ouida is survived by sisters Adeline Wigfall-Jones of South Bend and Odell Lee of Statesboro, GA. Also surviving are a niece and caregiver Vernell Moore,great nieces Aryel and Ayriana Avant and great nephew Perez Tate, whom she cared for and later assisted with her care.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank others who were there to assist with the care of Ouida during her final illness, namely Harbor Light nursing and staff, Sophie Ahokponou, Christine Coleman, Nicky from Help at Home, her niece, Margaret Murphy, nephew Rev. Timothy (Barbara) Lee, Pastor Andre McGhee and members of Greater St. John M.B. Church; thanks to each of you.
