Patricia Jane Retzloff

Mrs. Patricia Jane Retzloff, 86 of South Bend, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 28, 2018.  She was born Patricia Jane Dunkelberger on November 20, 1931 in Hastings, MI.  She married the love of her life, John Herbert “Herbie” Retzloff who preceded her in death in 1998.  Her only sibling Norman Dunkelberger also preceded her in death.

Patricia was a retired nurse and when she retired she enjoyed her hobbies, which included sewing, crafts and especially fishing.  She and “Herbie” would take the grandchildren out to the park cooking breakfast and having fun.  She loved fishing with her husband and really enjoyed their time up at the trailer they had on the lake.  When they moved to Virginia life slowed down, every morning they would sit and read the bible together.

She was a loving mother, an awesome grandmother and wonderful in every way.  She was a loving wife and loved the Lord.  Her faith carried her through life.  God has prepared a place for her and she will be welcomed.  We celebrate her life.

She is survived by her children, John A. Retzloff and wife Connie of South Bend, Michelle Dickerson and husband Don of Howard City, MI, Anthony  Retzloff and wife Joann of Monteplier, VA.

She is survived by six grandchildren, Sonja Beutel (Nick), Derek Dickerson (Kari), John J. Retzloff (Cynthia), Lisa Walker (Rick), Shelly Williamson (Kenny) and Steven Retzloff (Jennifer) all who loved her dearly. Also twelve great grandchildren, Alexandria, Gunner, Santiago, Mariano, Alessio, Tyler, Clayton, Trenton, Kellyn, Nora, Andrew and Lauren and two great- great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Oliver.
