Peter Paul Woodard, Sr. was born February 10, 1940 in South Bend Indiana to the late Simuel D. Woodard Sr. and Ursula Woodard. He was the eleventh of twelve children brothers: John, Robert, Simuel Jr., Irvin, Fred, James, William, Albert, sisters: Mary Alford (Freddie), Ursula Mills and Rose Abrams (Ray). He graduated from Washington High School in 1958 and served in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division under General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Peter was a member of The Delco’s whose debut single Arabia was released in the fall of 1962.
Peter departed this life on Wednesday, April 20th, 2016 at Signature Health Care where he resided three years and honored on the wall of fame as an entertainer of music. He was 76 years old.
He is survived by his five of his six children: Peter Paul Woodard Jr., Phillip Parnell Woodard, Paula Pavon Woodard (Deceased), Pauletta Pavon Washington, Patrick Pernard Woodard (Akil Mensah), and Prescott Paxton Woodard.
