Mrs. Sarah (Allen)Dixon was born August 26th, 1930 to the union of Albert and Lovie Allen in Liberty Mississippi. Sarah was the youngest of 13 children. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Sarah passed away on Saturday, February 15 in Long Beach, CA at age 89.
Sarah believed in family unity. She was an AMAZING cook and Homemaker and had a great love of music. Sarah accepted Christ at an early age and was a member at New Testament Baptist Church and later New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Sarah was United in Holy matrimony to John Wesley Dixon on May 17th, 1947 to this union 9 children were born: John Dixon Jr, (deceased), Ivory (Willie) Morris of Moreno Valley, California, Katie Mae ”Diane” Dixon (deceased), Leroy (Sherlyn) Dixon of Indianapolis IN , Dennis Dixon of South Bend, Dorothy Ivey (Marco) of Mazatlan, Mexico, George Dixon (deceased), James Dixon of Long Beach, California, Kathleen Lewis (Derrick) of Long Beach, California and a very special Granddaughter/Daughter LaTasha (Steven) Reindl of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Sarah has 18 grandchildren, 38 great-grand, 7 great-great grand.
Sarah was ill for just a short period of time before going home to the Lord. She fought a great fight and she was one of the strongest people that you could ever meet.
In addition to her three children, Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Lovie, her husband John Wesley Dixon, 4-brothers: James, Edward, Willie and Julius Allen of Liberty Mississippi, 3-sisters Lillian Patterson and Velma Tobias of Liberty Mississippi and Edith Washington of Chicago IL; daughter-in-law Casinia Dixon, three grandchildren, Melvin Dixon, Termel Phillips and Atia Burnett
Sarah has 1 surviving sibling: Arie Patterson of Chicago IL. and a good friend Mable Spriggs
