Sarah Hill

Born Sarah Hunt on February 1, 1940 in Greenwood Mississippi, Sarah Hill passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at her home in South Bend, Indiana. She was 80 years old.

A South Bend resident since relocating here in the mid 1950’s, Sarah was united in holy matrimony to Horice Hill on October 10, 1958. Mr. Hill preceded her in death in January 2015.

Sarah had retired from Memorial Hospital after nearly fifty years where she worked as a Technician. She was a dedicated servant of Christ and had been a faithful member of Second Baptist Church.

An accomplished seamstress, she was the consummate fashionista who enjoyed shopping as well as traveling.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Rev. Horace G. (Tara Ann) Hill of South Bend, a sister, Carrie Young also of South Bend and brothers, JC Hunt, Jr., Freddie Hunt and Ike Freeman all of Chicago, IL along with grandchildren, Horace G. Hill, Jr., Michael R. Hill, Amber M. Hill, Devin L. Hill, Sam McGraw, Joel McGraw, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death in addition to her husband were her parents, JC and Sarah (Brown) Hunt, a son, David Lee Hill and sister, Mae Alice Tillis.
