Sharlene Lane

Born August 28, 1951 in Trenton, Tennessee Sharlene Lane was raised and lived the majority of her life in Indiana. She departed this life on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Elkhart following an extended illness.

A former employee of Homecrest, Sharlene received certification in construction and spent many years doing construction work before moving on to become a seamstress.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed card games and playing bingo.  Sharlene loved having cookouts (barbecues) with family and friends while listening to the blues.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lane and Helen McGee, a brother, Webb Arnold and sisters Peggy Wade, Trina and Sheila Lane.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Anthony (Melody) Lane, Jerome and Robert Davis. Sisters Ella (Percy) Dotson, Yvonne Harley, Betty King and Belinda (Jerome) Whitner also survive her along with nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
