Sherry Ann Roth, age 88 of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully Friday, September 26, 2025, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Born on November 8, 1936, to Maurice “Bob” and Avis (Langdon) Morey, Sherry lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Beverlye Eberhart and Avis “Rene” Thrasher, her niece Sherry Thrasher, and by daughter-in-law Dawn Roth.
Sherry was well known in the restaurant industry for many years, a passion which she lovingly passed on to her entire family. In addition to her talents in the kitchen, she held a love for growing flowers, and an adoration of live music and the performing arts. Sherry’s greatest achievement was taking on the role of care giver and dear friend to Sharon Schulman, Adeline Van Laeke, and loving babysitter to the Weaver family.
Sherry is survived by her daughter, Shannon Roth Sellers of South Bend, and by her son, David Lee Roth of Plymouth, IN. Also surviving are nephews Bob Allen, Steve Allen, and Michael Thrasher, and Niece Michelle Thrasher.
She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Robert Heiland, Amber Roth Crosby (Bob), Trevor Roth, Devon Roth, Colin Roth (Courtney), Teaghen Sellers (Matt), and Brookleigh Cubbernuss. Sherry was also blessed to be known by her four great grandchildren, Elliott Roth, Kazimir Kowalski, Marzenia Kowalski, and Bronson Roth.
Sherry also leaves behind a host of wonderful friends who she held as near in her heart as family; The Hinsey Family, Mr. Ray and The Tolosa Family, Judy Guyer, Joyce Wood, Carol Trent, Linda Chamblis, and Nancy Livesay Stewart
Memorial services will be Thursday October 16, 2025, with visitation 3:00 to 7:00 pm, and services held at 4:00 pm at Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN.
Our family would like to extend formal gratitude to Sherry’s nurses Dione and Nicole for standing with our family, and a special thank you to Cobb Funeral Home for their help organizing arrangements.
