Edna (Dolly) Mae Cobb

 Mrs. Edna Mae Cobb, “Dolly” 91 formerly of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in Tampa, FL. She was born on August 5, 1926 in Marked Tree, AK to the late Dell Owens, Sr. and late Luecreasie (Patton) Owens Blake.
  She moved to South Bend in 1941 and was united in marriage to James (Bub) Cobb who also preceded her in death. She later joined with Charles Hammond who preceded her in death on May 5, 2015. Dolly was a member of Pilgrim Baptist church for over 50 years and attended faithfully until her health no longer permitted.
  Dolly is survived by three sons, Curtis (Stella) Owens of South Bend; Tyrone (Ileen) Cobb and Chris Cobb all of Tampa; one daughter, Mary (Larry) Birdsong of LaPorte, IN; 5 grandchildren, Scott Owens, Tracy Owens and Quincy Heard, Jr., all of South Bend; Eddie (Rachel) of Indianapolis and Raquel (Tinell) Stephens of Wisconsin; 22 great grandchildren; two sisters, Early B. Shelton of Marcellus, MI, Louise Blake; one brother, Dell Owens, Jr.; one stepsister, Christine Garth; close friends Liza Haynes, Lester Townsend and Gladys Thomas, all of South Bend. Dolly was also preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Porshae Owens, two brothers, Hubert and James Owens; three sisters, Artisha Newbill, Myra Barnes and Oleavia Lottie; one sister in law, Bessie Owens; three brothers in law, Hartie Blake, Hobert Shelton and Adele Newbill and one step brother in law, Jake Garth.
  Dolly’s favorite pastimes included going to church, shopping, traveling, taking care of children, and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family members.
