Jimmie Lee Sigh was born March 10, 1947 to the union of Chris and Bessie (Mhoon) Sigh in Luxora, AR. He moved to St. Louis, MO in 1957 where he attended McKinley High School. Jimmie joined the Army where he was serviced in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, Germany and Vietnam during the war, leaving in 1967 with the rank of Specialist E5.
He was employed at Chrysler Corp in Fenton, MO where he met his love Tossie (Lee) Sigh. They were married in 1971 and moved to South Bend where he worked as a truck driver for Ritschard Bros, C & E Trucking and Steel Warehouse from which he retired in 2003. They then moved to Riverdale, GA where he remained until his death on September 8, 2017.
He leaves to remember him his love Tossie Sigh. Three daughters, Yolanda (Anthony) Johnson of Lithonia, GA, Yovelle Frazier and Chavone Frazier of South Bend, and one son, Byron Sigh of South Bend. Three brothers Carter (Priscilla) Sigh of St. Louis, James (Jean) Sigh of Springfield, MO and Curtis Sigh of South Bend, as well as one sister, Linda Sigh of St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Bessie Sigh, three sisters, Margie Abraham, Laura Sigh and Orlean Farmer, and five brothers Eddie Sigh, Chris Sigh Jr, Willie Sigh, Larry Sigh and Robert Sigh. Jimmie loved bowling and fishing as well as his seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Papa will be sorely missed and remembered.
